A Shabby Chic Wedding | Florida Wedding Photographer | Tim & Vanessa

Vanessa & Tim are one of those adorable couples you instantly just fall in love with. When I met them a few years back through the automotive world, we instantly got along. When I had the chance to document their wedding day, I immediately said yes!

Tim & Vanessa chose Saxon Manor's Shabby Chic Wedding Barn for their big day. Nestled into the woods of Florida and surrounded by palms and Spanish moss, this place is truly so romantic you can't help but fall in love with it.

I just fell in love with Vanessa's gown! Not only is it my favorite color, but the ballgown style and gorgeous sparkling details really just took my breath away. I also loved her sparkling chucks, because why suffer on your wedding day in heels?!

When it was time to get ready, we had a great time laughing and chatting. Of course the room always gets quiet when the bride finally puts the gown on.

Even Tim seemed to be having all the feels when he was suiting up in the grooms room.

Vanessa and her father shared a special moment together before the ceremony. Dad was a little speechless when he saw her, but can you blame him? Vanessa is stunning!

With all the details in place, it was ceremony time! What better place in Florida for a wedding ceremony than under the spanish moss, in the evening with those lovely breezes blowing through the trees.

Following the ceremony, it was time to get some photos of the bridal party. This was definitely a fun group, I think I will always remember that!

When I asked Tim what he loves most about Vanessa, his response "her laugh... how I could hear it across a busy bar so I know she's safe!" I can't agree more Tim, Vanessa's laugh is infectious!

"How easily he can make me smile but saying something do dumb and funny and his passion" was Vanessa's response about Tim.

Time for a love story! Vanessa & Tim shared their story with me, and its just so lovely!

"A childhood friend of mine took me to the hole in the wall bar that she liked one night and that's where I met Tim and his roommate. Before leaving, my friend and I were in the parking lot talking. Tim and his roommate walked out and he yelled out " hey girl! Hey!" and something about that just really sparked my attention. So I kept going back to that same bar and asked his friends who he was and where he was. Word got around to him and we started talking soon after that and it was history after that."

So how did he pop the question?

"We were in NY for his cousins wedding and stayed a couple extra days. On our last day before leaving we walked around Central Park and found a cute little hut that was right on one of the ponds, I heard Tim say "babe", I look over and he had the ring out and asked me to marry him."

Time to get the party started! I love the interior of the barn. Of course, all white is so romantic, and the lights and soft colors really set the mood.

Special thanks to all the vendors who helped make this day happen:
