Riley & Jen met in college at a function held by their fraternity and sorority. It started with breakfasts together and building a strong friendship. That friendship transformed into a loving and deep connection between the two. Riley popped the question at a family gathering, so its only fitting that their wedding be an intimate event surrounded by their family.
Of course they had planned a large wedding surrounded by friends and family, but 2020 had other plans. I have to say, their wedding was a true joy and really allowed us to see the close connections their families have.
Their big day was held at Jen's church, Our Lady of Mount Carmel.
Jen wore a gorgeous gown from The Wedding Studio in Carmel and it was oh so gorgeous on her.
I was not prepared emotionally for Jen's first look with her father! The room was overwhelmed with love as Jen's father got choked up. What is it about an emotional dad that gets me every single time!
Then it was time for that special moment where Riley & Jen joined their lives in front of their family, their church, and God.
Jen & Riley's extended family and friends weren't able to celebrate with the couple, but they did surprise them as they exited the church.
Our first stop was The Cake Bake Shop in Carmel. The shop is special to Riley & Jen as they frequently visit for date nights. I cannot argue, they do have some of the best sweets around. Not to mention how gorgeous the shop is!
Who can argue the love of Riley & Jen? Definitely not their amazing bridal party made up of their adorable siblings!
Once we arrived at Jen's family home, we were pleasantly surprised at the effort their families put in to giving them a gorgeous reception. The cafe lights were blowing in the light breeze, and the tables were surrounded by flowers and trees. It was truly lovely!
No DJ and lights? No problem! This family came to get down!
We are so happy we got to share this very special day with this lovely couple and their family!
